This magnificent iconic church was built on the site where Emperor Alexander II was fatally wounded in 1881. The church with its ornate domes took 24 years to build and was finished in 1907. It is also highly decorated inside with over 7500 square metres of mosaic tiles and holds an extravagant shrine on the exact spot where Alexander was wounded.
