The Gherkin (30 St Mary Axe) was one of the first modern buildings in London to be given an affectionate nickname, it looms over the St Andrew Undershaft church in the City of London which is a rare example of a City church that survived both the Great Fire of London and the Blitz.
London is my town, I enjoy walking around looking at the buildings noticing all the little architectural details. London is changing, every day new buildings appear on the horizon. I love the contrast between old and new.
