Liz Whiteman Smith makes affordable, colourful screen prints of fun, colourful playful dinosaurs, dancing booby birds and iconic London buildings.

Liz is a freelance printmaker and artist, currently living in London. She has been inspired by her travels around the world and is drawn to the quirky and unusual. She creates series of multi layered screen prints, working from her own photographs and drawings. Using colour to create playful images, her aim is to make people smile.

An elected member of the Southbank Printmakers Gallery and ArtCan group of artists. She also runs the North London Printmakers group of artists, which exhibits regularly at art fairs and exhibitions. You can find her work at Conclave Gallery, Brighton and Bell Fine Art, Winchester. She has work in the Victoria and Albert museum archives.

Liz has organised and exhibited with a group of printmakers at the Affordable Art Fair at Battersea in March and Hampstead in May since 2018.

The Shard and Borough market was selected for the 'Small but mighty' exhibition at Bankside gallery in 2023.

Her prints were exhibited at the FAPDA gallery in Kyoto, Japan in 2019.

Her 'Clockwork Tasmanian Tiger' print was selected for the Royal Society of Painter Printmakers exhibition, The Masters, at Bankside Gallery, London in 2019.

For several years, her work has been exhibited as part of the Espacio Original Print Fair at Espacio gallery, Shoreditch, London.

Her mini prints have toured Norfolk with the Red Dot gallery since their mini print exhibition started in 2016.

Her 7" album covers were selected by The Secret 7" fundraiser on three occasions, and raised considerable funds for charity.

She has been invited on several occasions to exhibit in The Great Print Exhibition at the Rheged Centre in Penrith.

For five years, Liz organised a diverse group of artists to create themed shows such as Frankenstein (2018), Lost & Found (2017), Darwin's world (2016), Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (2015) and About Brick Lane (2014). She was part of the first group for Quantum (2013) at Espacio gallery in London.
